Flo Yuting Zhu (b.1997, China) is a mixed media artist whose work revolves around obstructed witnessing and deceitful absence. Her navigation of the hidden, the uncanny, and the crevice of normality often assumes the form of a moving image, with a blend of sculpture and performance that activates the image-making rituals. Her works feel fragmental, fluxed, and drenched in ambiguous hints at an underlying fiction. Influenced by the 60s’ performance art tradition, site-specific iterations are central to her practice, allowing her works to exist in multiple simultaneous edits. She has recently begun exploring more tactile materials, such as dirt, silicone, and glass, to give flesh to her world-building series of an ambimorphous time and terrain.

Her work has been featured in the London Short Film Festival (2024), Antimatter [Media Art] (2024), STRATA Project by 1:4:9 Art (2025), and Alternative Roots by Kakilang (2025). She is also a recipient of the Jamie Iddon Award for Emerging Artists from Blast Theory (2023) and a DYCP grant from Arts Council England (2024). She is currently living and working in London.
